Polytechnic Institute of Gaza
The Polytechnic Institute of Gaza (ISPG) is a public vocational higher education institution in Mozambique, established to drive the socio-economic development of the Gaza Province through technical and professional training. Headquartered in the Chókwè District (Lionde Administrative Post), it is strategically located in the heart of Mozambique’s agricultural hub. In 2026, ISPG is led by Rector Professor Mário Tauzene Afonso Matangue, who was recently reappointed for a second term (2025–2029) to continue modernizing the institute’s research capabilities. The institute is specifically renowned for its Divisions of Agriculture and Economy & Management, which emphasize practical, industry-ready skills. For the 2026 academic year, ISPG offered approximately 600 undergraduate seats across its specialized degree programs, which are designed to address regional challenges such as food security, semi-arid farming, and climate resilience.
