Rovuma University
Rovuma University (UniRovuma) is a prominent public institution in northern Mozambique, headquartered in the city of Nampula, UniRovuma was created to specifically address the developmental needs of the northern region, operating across three provinces: Nampula, Cabo Delgado, and Niassa. In 2026, under the leadership of Rector Professor Mário Jorge Brito dos Santos, the university has transitioned from its teacher-training roots into a comprehensive institution offering diverse programs in Law, Economics, Engineering, and Information Technology. Its strategic mission centers on "Quality, Innovation, and Development," utilizing a decentralized campus model to ensure that higher education is accessible to rural and urban populations alike across the Rovuma basin.
