The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) stands as Malawi’s leading institution for agricultural and environmental sciences. The university serves as a regional hub for innovation through its World Bank-funded AquaFish Center of Excellence and is currently undergoing significant expansion under the SAVE Project, which includes the construction of new teaching complexes scheduled for completion this year. With a multi-campus structure comprising the Bunda, NRC, and City campuses, LUANAR plays a critical role in the Malawi 2063 vision by advancing biotechnology, climate-smart irrigation, and agribusiness to ensure national food security and economic resilience.
