Department of Veterinary Services (DVS)

The Directorate of Veterinary Services (DVS) in Kenya, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, is the national authority responsible for safeguarding animal and human health, improving animal welfare, and enhancing livestock productivity. Located in Kabete, Nairobi, it regulates veterinary services, controls animal diseases, and ensures food safety, including meat inspection and certification of animal products.
