University of Douala

The University of Douala (UDla or UDo) is a large public university serving tens of thousands of students with programs across sciences, economics, law, humanities, engineering, medicine, and technical studies. It grew from earlier institutes such as the École supérieure des sciences économiques et commerciales (ESSEC) and École normale supérieure d’enseignement technique (ENSET) founded in the late 1970s, and was formally established as a university in 1993.
